Benzon Licardo
District 3 & 4 Instructor
Benzon B. Licardo is a dedicated Filipino Sign Language instructor and advocate for the Deaf community in Gumaca, Quezon. With a wealth of diverse experiences, he has been instrumental in empowering the Deaf community. Since 2013, he has served as an Aid-Teacher at Gumaca National High School, where he applies his expertise in Filipino Sign Language to support Deaf students.
Beyond the classroom, Benzon actively contributes as a board member of the Deaf Association of Quezon Province. His volunteer work includes Filipino Sign Language training and disaster relief efforts. His educational background includes studies at Paaralang Pag-Ibig at Pag-Asa and the Bible Institute for the Deaf, along with vocational training in Cookery.
Benzon’s multifaceted skill set—encompassing teaching, cooking, and community service—enables him to make significant contributions to both the Deaf and hearing communities in Quezon Province. Through his work and volunteerism, Benzon is committed to promoting inclusivity, education, and empowerment for Deaf individuals.
Nicole M. Blancaflor is a passionate 22-year-old Filipino Sign Language instructor and advocate for the Deaf community in Gumaca, Quezon. Nicole is currently in her third year pursuing a Bachelor of Technical Teacher Education at Makati Science Technological Institute of the Philippines, demonstrating her commitment to education and empowerment. As the youngest of four siblings, she has overcome numerous challenges to become a leader in her community.
Since May 21, 2022, Nicole has served as a Board Member for the Deaf Association of Quezon Province, Inc., an organization dedicated to improving the lives of deaf citizens through initiatives in education, employment, health, and human rights. Her diverse experiences include volunteering in Filipino Sign Language training, participating in environmental conservation efforts, and working in the service industry. Nicole’s skills in computer literacy, video editing, and Adobe Photoshop complement her passion for dance and communication.
Through her role as a Filipino Sign Language instructor and her involvement in community projects, Nicole strives to bridge the gap between deaf and hearing communities, promote awareness, and create more inclusive opportunities for deaf individuals in Quezon Province and beyond.
